NKCS SAGE Middle School

35,000 S.F | Gladstone, MO

Building on the success of the first phase of SAGE Elementary, NKCSD decided to expand the program to middle school students. The program is organized into five learning pavilions: digital art, science, business, engineering, and humanities. Limiting the wall height to the necessary storage requirements, the lack of separation promotes collaboration between fields of study. Elementary and Middle School programs are vertically connected with a central presentation learning stage. The design has played a crucial role in changing the way faculty teaches and students learn. SAGE has become a model for future schools creating a more interactive and engaging learning environment with cross-pollination in mind for educators across the region.
